ODYSSEY COACHING

ODYSSEY COACHING

ODYSSEY COACHING

After four years of implementing and refining our flagship program, Recovery + Resiliency, Mission 22 has developed a new program that focuses on post-traumatic growth facilitation by leveraging the power of health coaching.

This new program is called Odyssey Coaching and will afford participants a 90-day relationship with one of Mission 22’s highly experienced health coaches along with an optional online curriculum, available to participants.

We have found that the health coaching dynamic has very often served as the lynchpin to our participants’ transformative experience, thus creating a program with this component at the center will allow us to reach more people on fewer resources.

Facing my fears with using my strengths with optimal nutrition and wholesome supplements, meditation, exercise, coaching, reading, sharing and learning that I’m not alone offered me the opportunity to finally face the demons of the negative effects of PTSD to steadily use these tools to improve my well-being. I have a way to go yet, but this strong base will help me towards my recovery.

— Jackie Bowman, Sergeant, USMC

The support and life coaching has supported my development of self and confidence. The issues I shared came with honest and straightforward feedback and helped me look at situations in different lights. The online community helped me feel like I am not alone, and I can reach out if needed to ask for support. Everyone made me feel very welcome.

— Mission 22 Program Participant, 13F, Joint Fire Support Specialist

I had a great coach with Steve Manns. I’ve tried coaching before R&R but usually set about mentally frustrating my coaches. Steve always saw through my games and really got me both centered and focused. I finally feel like I have some real direction in my life and know my new mission is to help others become the best they can be

— Philip Bruley, 11B3V, Staff Sergeant / E-6

I was a bit surprised with my consistency and staying on track, but I thank my one-on-one coach for that extra toolkit.
